Louisville, KY — Charles Booker’s surging campaign for U.S. Senate picked up another major boost today as Kentuckians For The Commonwealth (KFTC)’s New Power PAC threw its full weight behind his candidacy.
It’s the latest sign that Kentucky’s Democratic base is consolidating hard around the frontrunner with less than four weeks until primary day. For more than forty years, KFTC has been an anchor in the movement for justice, democracy, and a healthy sustainable future, and its endorsement adds serious organizing muscle to a campaign already barreling into the final stretch.
“I am proud to accept New Power PAC’s game changing endorsement,” said Charles Booker. “KFTC isn’t just a critical organization in the fight for justice, but they have inspired and organized thousands of members across Kentucky and it’s my honor to stand with them in our shared vision.”
The KFTC endorsement lands as Booker’s lead hardens across the board. A recent Emerson College Polling/FOX56 survey shows Booker with a commanding 18 point lead over his closest opponent, and the endorsements keep piling up to match. In just the last several days, Booker has locked in support from the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), Collective PAC, and Track AIPAC. Today’s endorsement only cements what Kentucky Democrats are already making clear: this race has a frontrunner, and his name is Charles Booker.
“Today’s endorsement is another powerful declaration that we, the people, are ready for change in Kentucky and across America, and we are not playing,” continued Booker. “I am fired up.”
The Kentucky Democratic primary is May 19, 2026.
